Saturday, April 28th, 2007

I can agree with the violent acres post on depression but I do think it misses some very obvious points. I believe that, especially in rich countries like America, one has vastly more freedom and power over one's life than elsewhere. The fact that relatively few seem to ...

The Best Freeware Icon Editor

Tuesday, April 24th, 2007

IcoFX is the best freeware icon editor for Windows. Aside from some really crap, not-worth-mentioning, alternatives like GoldIcon, this is really it when you want a freeware icon editor that you can, apparently, use commercially. Bonus: IcoFX is also available in an alternative zero-install portable app format.

The Iraqi Anti-Occupation demonstrations were far larger than the Hussein Statue Toppling event, or Why You Still Shouldn’t Believe the News

Friday, April 13th, 2007

ThisModernWorld has some pictures comparing recent anti-occupation demonstrations in Iraq with the 'famed' statue toppling that happened 4 years earlier. One can totally ignore the part about the recent anti-occupation demonstrations and still be surprised at the empty area around the statue in it's last moments.

And end to Safari InputManager Plugins in Leopard. Thank god for Firefox.

Friday, April 13th, 2007

Hicksdesign reports that OS X Leopard will disable InputManagers, the technology behind plugins like Saft. Must admit I'm even less tempted away from my beloved Firefox now.
